Larry and Patty Roberts combine their talents and efforts to create Glass De Vine!

Glass Art
Our Combined Metal and Art Studio

Utilizing a unique process Patty hand carves a felt like refractory material and then lays the design on the bed of a large glass kiln. Five layers of “float” glass are layered on top of the material and are then heated to 1525 degrees Fahrenheit. The ensuing 24 hour computer-controlled cycle fuses the glass and creates an embossed imprint on its back. The Vine and Bamboo patterns are inspired by Patty’s passion for gardening.

After taking classes at Pratt Fine Art School in Seattle, Larry took on the metal side of Glass De Vine designing and welding the Water Walls, Garden Panels, Tables and other outdoor inspired items that feature Patty’s glass.

Larry and Patty work out of their home studios in Marysville WA participating in several Art Festivals a year.
